Gary James Smith passed away on November 26, 2020 at the age of 70 years. He is survived by his daughter Jessica; grandchildren Aiden and Bo; brothers Don (Annette), Rob (Cathy) and their families. He was predeceased by his loving wife Carol.
Gary was a good man at heart with a lot of wonderful qualities. He was immensely proud of his daughter and loved her and her children more than anything in this world. He had a positive outlook on life and deep rooted faith which helped guide him through life.
Gary suffered a long, hard battle with addiction, a disease he struggled with for many years. He was a fierce and persistent fighter who openly shared his experiences to help others overcome their battles.
Gary will be cremated and his ashes will rest with his beautiful wife Carol at Rocky View Garden of Peace Cemetery in Alberta. He is now at peace with the love of his life.
