Laura Chapman passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at the age of 84 years. Laura was born in Empress, AB and raised on a farm in Airdrie. She attended Crescent Heights School and then worked for the City of Calgary as a secretary in the mayor’s office. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Laura is survived by her husband Bill and two sons Brent and Scott; daughter-in-law Kelly and one grandson and two great grandchildren. Laura enjoyed her garden and many animals for the past forty years at the family’s Delacour area hobby farm. A Graveside Service will be held at Queen’s Park Cemetery, 3219 – 4 Street N.W. Calgary on Monday, January 9, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Thank you to her many friends that came to visit Laura during her short illness. Knowing her friends and family were with her gave her great peace.
