Florence passed away peacefully surrounded by her daughters on Tuesday, June 7, 2021 in Calgary, Alberta at the age of 88 years. Her heart that loved so much, and worked so hard, finally came to rest.
Florence was born the fourth of eight children to Alfred and Margaret James, on December 14, 1932, in Drumheller Alberta.
Florence is survived by her loving children, Lisa (David), Michelle, and Monique (Roger) and three treasured grandchildren, Jesse, Cole, and Caise. She will also be sadly missed by her two remaining brothers George (Loretta) and Arthur and her cherished sister Margaret as well as by many nieces and nephews who lovingly refer to her as “Aunty Flo”.
Florence was predeceased by her parents, Alfred and Margaret, her brothers, John, Tom, and Pat, her sister Anna May, her first daughter Yvonne and her best friend Mary. Mom loved to sing. She loved life, her family and god.
A celebration of life will be held at a future date when it is safe to gather. A huge thank you to the staff at Covenant Care - St. Teresa Place for the care and compassion they gave our mother over the last four years.
