It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Eileen Ruth Frewin (née Wesgate), a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who left us on Friday, October 25, 2024 at the age of 72 years. Eileen’s warmth, kindness, and love for life will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Born on September 14, 1952, Eileen was known for her selflessness and generosity. She was ready to put a pot of coffee on at a moment’s notice, eager to welcome family and friends into her home. Eileen was a devoted mother to Jeffrey (Tanya), Matthew, and Megan (Dustin) and a loving grandmother to Alex, Ava, Taylor, and Jones, who were the lights of her life. Her deep love for her family and friends was apparent in every interaction, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and warm memories.
Eileen is survived by her sisters, Judith and Barbara and her brother, Patrick. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 35 years, Bryan; her parents, Pauline and Hilton; and her brother, William.
A Celebration of Eileen’s Life will be held on Friday, November 1, 2024 at Foster’s Garden Chapel, 3220 4 Street N.W. Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery). Viewing will be available from 1:00 pm, with the Service to be held at 2:00 pm.
Eileen’s memory will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends, whom she so deeply touched.
