Ed (Edwin) Perrault passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on January 4, 2017 at the age of 82 years. He will be greatly missed and remembered by his beautiful wife of 59 years, Bev, along with his three sons: Ward (Wendy), Eric (Ellen), and Rod (Erin), his six grandchildren; Marnie, Jordan (Alice), Ben (Cassie), Josh, Murray, and Evan, great grandchildren Wyatt and Azylis, brother Jim (Betty) Perrault, and brother-in-law Ken (Helen) Murray.
Ed and Bev met and attended high school together in Grand Coulee, Saskatchewan. In 1967, they moved their family west to Alberta. Over many years Ed worked in home building and renovations, but his career highlight was running his own company, Westwood Renovations, for 15 years.
Ed spent many hours wood working in his workshop, often building custom pieces for his home and family. He loved the outdoors, sharing his love of camping and hiking with his children and grandchildren, heading west to the mountains with his lunch and camera in his backpack. He hiked to the top of his favourite peak, Mt. Yamnuska in his early 60's, and continued to do many other hikes through until his mid 70's.
A Celebration of Life will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Monday, January 9, 2017 at 10:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Rosdale Hospice (920 7a St NW, Calgary, Alberta T2M 3J4), who took care of Ed and his family.
Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family via the website www.fostersgardenchapel.ca.
