Edmund Joseph Turner

Edmund Turner passed away peacefully on November 15, 2013 at the Beverly Centre Midnapore in Calgry at the age of 86 years. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Theresa of 24 years; his children Faye (Brad), Anne (Phil), Sharon, Eddie, Joy (Kim) and Phil as well as his step-children Rita (Richard), Bill (Emma), Kevin (Christine) and Fiona (Dr. Randy). Also left to mourn are collectively 23 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Edmund was predeceased by his first wife of 37 years, Joan and daughter Gail, 2 brothers, Phil and Alan, and 2 grandchildren, Kerry and Steven.

Edmund served in the military for 25+ years. Following his military service, he worked with the Calgary Board of Education for 15 years as a custodian. Edmund was a dedicated life member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 285. He also belonged to the Knights of Columbus and was a fourth degree.

Prayers will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 10827 – 24 Street SW, Calgary on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 21 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with interment following at St. Mary’s Cemetery.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the Beverly Centre Midnapore for their compassionate care and kindness given to Edmund in his time there.
