It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Dorothy Cecile Fox of Calgary, Alberta on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at the age of 94 years.
Dorothy was born on November 8, 1927 to parents Cecil Cuell and Violet Cuell (Beaton) in Lethbridge, Alberta. She was predeceased by her brothers George Cuell, Robert Cuell, Walter (Suzanne) Cuell, Richard (Shirley) Cuell, Barry Cuell and Ted Cuell. Dorothy was predeceased in 2005 by her loving husband of 51 years Donald James Fox.
Dorothy was a devoted and caring mother and grandmother. She is survived by her children Suzanne Marie Dailey (Ted), grandson Kevin Dailey, sons Robert Lynwood Fox of Calgary and Tom Jeans (Lexa) of California, sister Barbara Stewart (Carly) of Lethbridge, sisters-in-laws Georgia Cuell (Robert) of Ponoka, Elain (Barry) Cuell of Utah, JoAnn (Ted) Cuell of Canmore, Alberta.
Dorothy had a wonderful life. Don’s work transfers resulted in many moves leading to new and varied experiences. She became an avid bowler. She was team captain and continued bowling well into her 80’s. There was never a shortage of energy when it came to Dorothy, she volunteered to help family and friends where ever there was a need. She will be deeply missed. Dorothy now joins her loving husband Don as they are laid to rest in Queen’s Park Cemetery.
Due to COVID, there will be no memorial service.
The family wish to thank the thoughtful staff at the Manor Village in Garrison Woods for the compassionate care she received in her final years.
