In cherished memory of Doris Schuh, a devoted, talented, beautiful and smart woman who touched the hearts of many. Doris not only excelled as a certified gymnastics coach and holder of a kinesiology degree but also played a vital role in creating and running children's recreation programs for the city of Calgary.
Doris is survived by her husband, partner and best friend, Ken Hare, her mother Marjorie, her sister Anita (Brian), her niece’s Danielle & Sabrina & Paema, her nephew Tenzin, her brother-in-law Bradley, and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Doris was predeceased by her father Ewald and mother-in-law Victoria Hare, and her Baba and Gido, and Oma and Opa.
She loved the sport of gymnastics from an early age and spent a significant portion of her career coaching children of all ages in the sport, becoming a beloved figure in their lives.
Beyond her professional achievements, she reveled in the simple pleasures – from her cats, being in nature, travelling, gardening, enjoying good food, and socializing with friends, to discovering music, great shows, and movies. An avid reader and skilled flower arranger, Doris embraced life with enthusiasm. Her passing on January 20, 2024, leaves a void, but her legacy lives on through the laughter, shared moments, and the positive impact she had on the countless lives she touched.
During her later years Doris was supported by many dedicated and caring health care professionals, forming deep bonds with many who she considered dear friends.
