Doreen Collins Wallace, loving wife of 45 years to James B. Wallace who she was predeceased by in 2000, passed away peacefully, with family by her side at the Rockyview General Hospital on September 12, 2020 at the age of 86 years.
Doreen will be lovingly remembered by her sons Robert and Andrew (aka Drew) Wallace; daughter Sandra (Glenn) Eskildsen; grandchildren Kimberley, Christine, Annyssa, Curtis; and great-granddaughter Nora.
She is also survived by 3 sisters Carol (Jim) McRae, Karyn (Mike) Deputat and Nickie (Ken) DeCoursey. She was predeceased by brother David Martins.
Doreen was born on January 30, 1934 to the late Roy T. Martins and Agnes E. Ehly in Edmonton, Alberta where she grew up. She spent the majority of her life in Calgary, side by side with her husband Jim, raising her children and working, predominantly, in the insurance business. In 2001 she moved to Penticton, BC traveling and enjoying life with sister Carol. Then in 2012 Doreen came back home to Calgary where she spent her last years closer to her family.
A private Celebration of Doreen's Life will be held.
Interment to follow at a later date. If friends so desire, memorial donations can be made to the SPCA in their area.
