Dan was predeceased by his parents Donald and Shirley Williams. He is survived by his loving wife Beverley LeBlanc; his sister Carney Oudendag (Paul) of Kelowna, British Columbia and nieces Kelsey and Mallory; his sister Susan Fray (Randy) of Turner Valley, Alberta and nieces Heather and Erica; sister-in-law Carolyn LeBlanc and brother-in-law Daryn Hunt of Calgary, Alberta and niece Claire.
Dan was born in Three Hills, Alberta on January 5, 1966. He was a talented hockey player and moved to Calgary at 15 when recruited by the Calgary Wranglers. He graduated from Bowness High School before completing a BA in English and Master of Teaching from the University of Calgary. Dan was a gifted and beloved teacher and he treasured the 25 years he spent at Foothills Academy in Calgary.
Dan was a devoted husband, son, loving brother, uncle, friend and neighbour and will be deeply missed.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel in Calgary, Alberta.
