Dan organized a Sunday night basketball game at the old Campion High School gymnasium. I was fortunate Dan asked me to play. I will never forget the ten years of  comradery, sportsmanship and fun on those Sunday games. Dan had a great smile and tremendous laugh. I am sad that Dan has passed and blessed to have known Dan.

My life is better having met Dan through our days with Variety Club some 30 years ago. The greatest times we had and I was blessed to call him my friend!

I was saddened to hear of Dan's passing. I had the opportunity to work closely with him in multiple roles at the Canadian Neurological Society over the past decade. Dan was passionate about his service to the organization, and really worked until he couldn't. Dan was always kind and greeted everyone with a smile, even if he did not agree with them. They don't make them like him anymore.  I will certainly miss meeting with Dan, and the entire organization of the CNSF and CNS will miss him dearly. I want to offer my heartfelt condolences to his friends and family on his loss.

My sincerest sympathies Heidi to you and the Morin family. Danny was a wonderful person and I always enjoyed our occasional visits over the years. His dry sense of humour and wit were always appreciated.

My condolences to Heidi and all of Dan's family and friends.  It is with great sadness that I say goodbye to my lifelong friend.  I met Dan in grade 8 in January 1962.  It didn't take long to strike up a friendship that lasted 62 years.  Dan was a very special friend.  We had many great times together celebrating family functions, golf holidays, basketball Sundays, and birthdays.  Even a few Lemon Hart and Pepsi while Gene joined in with a Smirnoff.  Words will not adequately describe how much I loved this friend and how sorry I am that he is gone.

Please accept our most sincere condoleances to Dan's entire family from the Québec City partners. We had the honor of working with Dan on two conferences and we know how much he loved his job.  I called him a teddy bear. Most of all, he loved sharing stories about his family. We have fond memories of Dan and he will be missed by many. For over a decade, Intertask Conferences has worked as an extension of CNSF’s team, providing conference management services for their annual Congress. 

We truly feel part of the CNSF family headed by Dan, and crisscrossed the country with him each year to deliver the Congress. Dan was adamant in his refusal to hold a virtual meeting during COVID - he was an in-person kind of guy and would not be swayed by a pandemic. We missed him so much in Toronto this year, although… his presence was felt! We were in constant contact to keep him updated on the Congress.

Dan was passionate in his support of the neuroscience professions in Canada and the important advocacy work done by CNSF: he was fierce.  

People sought Dan’s counsel knowing they would receive unvarnished yet thoughtful advice. He often provided referrals for us, many resulting in new business: he was the most credible of references. If he liked you and what you stood for, that was saying something.

The neurological community in Canada has lost a titan - and we have lost a friend. Our sincere condolences to Dan’s friends and family (including the team at CNSF) from all of us at Intertask.

I am so sorry to hear of Dan’s passing. I haven’t seen him in  over 10 years but have known him for over 60 years. Dan was a groomsman at my wedding and we spent quite a bit  of time together when I was first married because my wife and I lived close to him when Rochelle was a baby. 
My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone grieving his loss.

Uncle Dan was a gregarious and kind man who made a big and positive impression on many lives. 
Our family is thinking of you all. My father Barry, and Dan’s very close friend since childhood, is devastated, and wishes he could be with you all to celebrate him.

My sincerest condolences to Dan’s family and friends.  I had the pleasure in working with Dan for the last 8 years.  He was one of my favorite clients, he was always funny but most of all a great partner with great business sense.  He was one of our biggest supporters in bringing business to the Fairmont Banff Springs and advocated for us when resorts faced challenges.  We will miss working with Dan, may you rest  in peace now.

Dan meant a lot to me. He was always straightforward and honest with me, whether I liked it or not. Our relationship was mainly of a business nature, but he made time for me during our lengthy conversations. We discussed projects, venues, prices (which he always thought were too high), business challenges, family, friends, and more.

Dan was a huge influence on me during one of the most trying times in my life, and I don’t think he even realized it.

I am grateful to have known Dan and the great man he was. He will always hold a very special place in my heart.
