It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Darrell “Murray” Riggall on Sunday, August 6, 2017 at the age of 74 years. He leaves behind a wife of 46 years, Joanne Riggall a cherished son A. Dean Riggall, his daughter in law Candice Riggall and two beautiful grandchildren, Helena Riggall and Braydon Riggall. Murray also leaves 3 children from a previous marriage, Kim Karcha, Cheryl Walker, James Karcha and their Families. He is survived by his brother Larry (Donna) Riggall of Elbow, Saskatchewan. and Nephews Doug Dunnison, Ray Dunnison, Cory Riggall and Kelly Riggall. Murray was blessed with many Perrault “Brother and Sister In-laws” , their spouses and families. Murray was predeceased by his parents C.W. Riggall and Mabel Riggall nee Roberts, his sister Marilyn Dunnison, and nephew Alan Dunnison, all of Regina. Murray wore many hats during his working career. He started at Western Clay Products as a laborer. Murray drove Regina City Transit bus for years. Then came the RANCH EHRLO years where he was operator of FROOM House (Home for delinquent Boys), and a foster parent. Murray established a woodworking shop as a work skill prep for the boys. In 1978 he moved to Calgary where he operated “BigFoot Bobcat Services” in the summer and drove oilfield hotshot in the winter. Murray’s final career move of 14 years was with Canada Post where he has Depot Assistant, retiring in 2003. Murray’s world included fishing, woodworking, motorcycles, quads, Go Kart racing, cruising, and traveling in the motor home from Alaska to Florida. Along the way he made many lifelong friends which he held dear. The Family wishes to send a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Sharma and all staff and volunteers at Dulcina Hospice for the friendliness and excellent care given to Murray during his last months. A Memorial Gathering will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4th Street NW, Calgary, AB (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Thursday, August 10, 2017 between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family via the website www.fostersgardenchapel.ca.
