Colleen Yip, our beloved mother and grandmother passed away November 12, 2015 at the age of 85 years. She was born in Hoi Ping, China and immigrated to Cardston, Alberta in 1959 where she married, lovingly raised her family and was a hard working restaurateur until her retirement to Calgary in 1997. She is predeceased by her husband George; survived by her sons Ernest, Wayne (Susie), Lang (Tanya); daughter Pearl; as well as five sisters and a brother living in China and USA. In retirement, Colleen enjoyed close time with brother-in-law Ken, his daughters Alison and Andrea and Wayne's son Eric. Retirement also accorded her further learning at Calgary Senior College which she loved. The Funeral Service will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Friday, November 20, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. followed by Interment at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
