Buu was born on November 1, 1959 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. He married Van Tran on May 21, 1983 in Calgary, Alberta, where he lovingly raised his three daughters.
Buu is fondly remembered and survived by his wife Van Tran, daughters and son-in-laws Lena (Nam), Vicki (Phil), Janice (Jocking) and granddaughter Charli. He is also survived by his siblings, Anita, Ann, Ming, Minh Ngoc and Ken. He is predeceased by his mother Le Nga Truong, father Phu Xuong Chau and sister Tracy Chau.
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at a Visitation held at Foster's Garden Chapel, 3220 - 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen's Park Cemetery) on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Prayer Service beginning at 7:30 pm.
A Funeral will be held at Foster's Garden Chapel, 3220 - 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen's Park Cemetery) on Friday, February 17, 2023 at 9:30 am.
Cremation to follow.
