Beverly Nadine James

March 30, 1941 – April 28, 2012

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Bev James. Bev was born in Mirror, Alberta and raised on her parent’s farm in Alix, Alberta. She was married to her first love, John Warren and together they had a daughter, Lorraine Mary Warren. John passed away suddenly in October 1977. With unwavering determination, strength and courage, Bev devoted herself to Lorraine and her special needs. Bev met her soul mate and best friend Stewart James and they were married in April of 1985. With Stew came his two daughters, Roxi and Melinda (Al) who Bev opened her heart to and embraced them as her own. During her lifetime Bev enjoyed many interests but all paled in comparison to her close bond with her sister Helen (Ralph) Morgan and her nephews Blaine (Mary and children Jessica & Jason) and Dean (Stacy and children Matthew & Brendan). She will be deeply missed by her four grandchildren (Tyne, Taylor, Whitney and Jenna) who she enjoyed and cherished. Forever in their hearts, Grandma Bev will be truly missed. A Celebration of Life will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Tuesday, April 3rd, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made directly to the URSA - Universal Rehabilitation Services Agency, 808 Manning Road N.E.
