It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Anastasia Kominos. Tasia passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 1, 2015 at the Rockyview Hospital with her husband Tony, daughter Pat, son Phil and grandson Aki by her side. Tasia was an amazing seamstress and reproduced many wedding dresses from little more than a picture from a magazine. She had a talent for cooking, and passed on this skill to her children. Tasia will be missed by her husband Tony; children Pat and Phil; granddaughters Erene, Tasha and Amy; grandson Aki; as well as by her beautiful great-grandchild Cora. She was predeceased by her grandson Tony and son-in-law Mike. A Prayer Service will be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 1 Tamarac Crescent S.W., Calgary, AB on Friday, November 6, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. with Interment to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made directly to the Osteoporosis Society of Alberta, 2526 Battleford Ave S.W., Calgary, AB T3E 7J4.
