Peter Bartz

On February 11, 2022, Peter J. Bartz passed away very unexpectedly, but peacefully, in his sleep. Peter was born August 4, 1954. He was preceded in death by his parents Ruby and Harold Bartz; grandchildren Haddon and Kadence; and brother-in-law, John Brink. Surviving are his daughters Shannon Crame (Jason) and Jamie Jo Brenner; and grandsons Dallas and Gage. He is also survived by sisters Sandra Portko, Carol Brink, Malita Barnoski (Mark), Susan Arnsman (Jack); and brothers David Bartz (Ellen), and Michael Bartz (Sharon); and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Pete will be remembered for his love for his family and the guidance he provided for his grandsons. He was always willing to help others out and he could make friends with nearly everyone. He loved fishing with Dallas and Gage, working on cars, and the challenge of fixing things. His occupation of maintenance technician provided him with the skills to tackle almost any repair job. Pete was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, and he will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Friday, February 18, 2022 at Cook Funeral Home in Byron Center, 2067 84th St., Byron Center, Michigan. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, February 19, 2022 at the funeral home, with visitation from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service.
