Bruce Earle Boersma

Bruce Earle Boersma, age 69, went to be with his Lord Thursday, April 4, 2024. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Martha Boersma. He will be remembered by his wife, Rebecca Boersma; children Ronda Boersma, Kimberly (Cory) Vantil, Nichole (Chad) Vantil, and Joshua (Lindsey) Boersma; grandchildren Cody Jackiewicz, Adam Jackiewicz, Heidi Jackiewicz, Trenten Vantil, Joslyn Vantil, Ethan Vantil, and Jaiden Vantil; siblings Brian (Kimberly) Boersma and Diane Dykstra; many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Bruce had a strong love for family, friends, travel, and golf. He was a man of great faith and integrity. He made friends wherever he went and greeted them as if he knew them for a long time. His love of family initiated many trips, adventures, impromptu dinners, and games. His positive attitude and outlook of life was contagious, influencing everyone around him. He made everything better. He always took the time to thank our Lord for all blessings in every situation.

Visitation with friends and relatives will take place from 5-7 p.m. Friday, April 12, 2024 at Cook Funeral Home, 2067 84th Street SW, Byron Center, MI 49315. A celebration of Bruce’s life will commence 11 a.m. Saturday, April 13, 2024, with visitation one hour prior, at Second Byron CRC, 7588 Byron Center Ave. SW, Byron Center, MI 49315. Pastor Rick Vanderwall will be officiating. In honor of Bruce and his love for his country and for those who served, in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
