She is survived by her children Cathy DeGoede, Jim (Mary Lou) Johnson; granddaughter, Allison (Matt) Brussee and their children Madison and Mackenzie; grandchildren Alex Johnson and Hope Johnson; sisters Jackie (Jim) Harvey, Thelma VanderWeide; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Alice retired after 34 years of dedicated service with the phone company. Spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren, brought Alice joy. Playing cards and bowling were games she enjoyed as well.
A time to visit with the family will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, September 9, 2021 and Friday one hour prior to service at Cook Funeral Home, 2067 84th St. Byron Center. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, September 10, 2021 at Cook Funeral Home - Byron Center Chapel. Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. prior to service.
