Wanda Gale Spence

Wanda Gale Spence, born on December 22, 1954, in Boones Mill, VA, passed away peacefully in her home on June 3, 2024, in Bertram, TX. She was known for her loving and kind nature, always generous, honest and friendly. She loved the Lord with all her heart and shared His love.

Wanda was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a devoted member of First Baptist of Bertram. Her hobbies included spending time in her greenhouse and gardening, being an amazing cook, a seamstress, sailing, scuba diving, and owning a horse farm.

Wanda will be dearly missed and is survived by her son Justin (Gretchen) Morris, daughters Michelle Jones, Anne Morris, grandchildren Taylor, Britton, Landry Morris, Whitney (Scott) Loewen, Gray Jones, brother Thomas G. Burgess, sisters Dawn (Andy) Lloyd, Nicole (David) Rodriguez, Nieces and Nephews Deidra (Chip) Nininger, Tammi (Mike) Jewell, Stephanie (Chris) Bush, Christina Farr, Kyle Lloyd, Rachel Whitlock, Elizabeth (Alan) Stephenson, Michelle Radford, Nicholas Radford, The Spence Family, a large loving extended family and many wonderful friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents Grover and Janie Burgess, husbands Taylor Morris Jr., Doyal Spence, daughter Chanlor Morris, and son Roger Spence.

Wanda was a graduate of Franklin County High School and attended Virginia Tech in Virginia. She had a fulfilling career in the Wellness and Health Industry, working at Nature's Outlet Salem, VA and Atkin's Pharmacy Marble Falls,TX. She was dedicated to helping others lead healthy lives.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at First Baptist Bertram, on Saturday July 6, 2024 at 2:00pm.
