Texas, on December 13 1966, to Arvel Gene and Frances Wyvonne Kennedy. Terry is
survived by his loving wife, Angela, children, Kirby Phillips (Clay) of Lampasas, Kleg
Kennedy of Lampasas, Caleb Kennedy, and Jason Kennedy of Burnet; granddaughter,
Emma Phillips; mother, Wyvonne Kennedy of Post, TX; sisters Phyliss Walker (Donney), Karla
Richardson (Gary), Genetta Kennedy, Luann Kennedy (Natalie), and brother Jay Kennedy
(Connie); and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by father Gene Kennedy of Post, TX; granddaughter, Claire
Phillips; cousin, Clay Kennedy; and grandparents, Jack and Selma Kennedy and Wilburn
and Loucille Morris, Post.
Terry grew up in Post, Texas, in a large loving family. He graduated from Post High School
in 1985 and was a proud member of the bold gold Antelope football team. He graduated
from Tarleton State University in 1991 with a degree in Criminal Justice.
Terry began his career in criminal justice in the juvenile probation system and found his true
calling in 1999 when he became an adult probation officer for the 33rd Judicial District in
Burnet County. He dedicated his career to serving both the public and those he supervised.
More than once a former probationer credited him for changing their life. In 2017, he was
proudly appointed as Director of the 33rd/424th Judicial District Probation Department
(CSCD) serving Burnet, Llano, Blanco and San Saba Counties and worked tirelessly to
improve the department and the lives of others.
Terry adored his wife, his kids, his granddaughter, playing golf, Texas football, being
outside, going to the beach, and laughing and telling stories. His legacy will have a lasting
impact on generations to come.

“Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. .... When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am. And you know the way to where I am going.... I am the way, the truth, and the life."
