The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on November 13th, 2018 at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park. Pastor Jason Teague of First United Methodist Church will be officiating. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Clements Wilcox Funeral Home.
Philip was born in Houston, Texas on April 29, 1938 to Klyne Pace and Oma Inez. He graduated from Pasadena High School and continued on to receive a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from the Arizona State University.
Philip worked as an engineer at Motorola for 16 years. Philip also worked at Sematech and LCRA during his career as an engineer and manager. He enjoyed reading, especially Westerns, playing and watching sports, and he was an avid music enthusiast. He was known for his kind, caring, and understanding heart. His genuine nature made anyone feel at ease quickly and his willingness to always listen, with interjections of sometimes a surprising sense of humor, will be missed.
Philip is survived by his three children, Leslie C. Wright, Amanda D. Wright, and Wesley B. Wright and his wife Julie; his 3 grandchildren Drake, Cooper, and Elizabeth; his brothers Waymond W. Wright and J. David Wright; his sisters Karen Green and Mary Cullop; his wife Elizabeth Wright (Pitts) and her children, Jeff, Chris, and Julie. Philip is preceded in death by his parents, Klyne P. Wright and Oma I. Wright; as well as his sister Jane and brother Jack.
The family of Klyne Philip Wright wishes to extend their warmest gratitude to Eddie, Stephanie and the entire Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home staff and to Pastor Jason Teague and the crew at First United Methodist Church of Burnet.
