Patricia Ann (Hines) Henderson age 89 of Buchanan Dam passed away November 13, 2021. She was the second child born to Agnes Combs and Earl Hines in Pampa July 28, 1932. Earl worked in the oil field, and they lived all over the U.S. She later continued that adventure when she later met and married Lester, going to Canada and Alaska.
She lived through World War II rationing and the Great Depression. She remembered rationing sugar and because of that you never left her home without something sweet, be it food or a hug.
Patricia graduated High School in Taft, California and attended college at Wharton Junior College.
She met Lester Henderson while working for Phillips Petroleum in Old Ocean,Texas. They later married and had three children, Lester, Ken, and Beth.
Her passion was music, and she had a beautiful singing voice. She and her brother Worley played many clubs. They even recorded a record.
Patricia enjoyed family and friends and never knew a stranger.
Patricia is survived by sons Lester and Kenneth Henderson and daughter Elizabeth Henderson Childers, granddaughter Samantha Bowhall, and brother Jerry Hines.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lester Stockwell Henderson and her brother, Worley Hines.
The visitation for friends and family will be held Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Chapel of the Hills Baptist Church at Buchanan Dam. The Memorial Service will follow at 1:00 PM there at the Church.
