Gussie Roach

Gussie Lee Roach, age 90, of Burnet, Texas passed away on September 8, 2010. She was born in Gatesville, Texas on January 20, 1920 the daughter of William Andrew Teague and Lucinda Augusta Powell.

Gussie loved sewing, cooking, and canning. She loved to crochet. In her youth she played softball and traveled with the High School Glee Club. Gussie was a member of the Chapel of the Hills Baptist Church and a very devout Christian. A very devoted mother and grandmother and her family is what she lived for.

She is survived by her two daughters Linda Warren of Burnet, Texas and Doris Downin of Pennsylvania, sister Ruth Woodrum; 11 grandchildren and many great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her two brothers J.W. Teague and John E. Teague and two sisters Lera Lou Roach and Doris Love and her husband and son J.C. Roach Sr. and J.C. Roach, Jr.

Pallbearers will be Larry Woodrum and Larry Woodrum II, Frank Love, Shane Love, Travis Warren and T.C. Warren.

Funeral services will be Saturday, September 11, 2010 at the Chapel of the Hills Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. in Buchanan Dam, Texas. Officiating will be Rev. Kevin McDonald.
