Barbara Ann Fischer, age 85, of the Cassie Subdivision on Lake Buchanan near Burnet, Texas passed away peacefully at home on Monday, December 16, 2024. She was born January 5, 1939, in Beeville, Texas to parents Eugene Everett Sawey and Estelle Lillian (Jimerson) Sawey.
Barbara was raised on the family farm near Kenedy with two brothers. She was the mother of two whom she loved dearly, grandmother of three, and loving wife of Joe.
Barbara worked as a pharmacy tech for 25 years. She loved to garden and travel. She worked with meals on wheels and in the food pantry. She loved Jesus and enjoyed her time as a children's Sunday School teacher.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday Jan. 4, 2025 at Chapel of the Hills Church at 1:00pm. Her family will have a burial of her urn at the family cemetery in Kenedy.
