It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Valter Anthony Rinaldo on Thursday, March 6, 2014. He is survived by his loving wife Katarina and his beautiful children Dominik and Daniela, his parents Antonio and Giorgina, his parents in law Jaroslav Nutter and Alzbeta Nutterova, his siblings Sonia (Bruno), Lucia (Marco), and Roberta (Mark), his brother in law Jaroslav, his nieces and nephews Isabella, Sofia, Lorenzo, Marina, Anthony, Elliot, Owen, and Daniel, his Uncle Bortolo and Aunt Lucia in Canada, many aunts and uncles, cousins, and countless friends. Valter loved life and he lit up a room with his presence. He had a fun-loving nature and friendliness that drew people to him. We will miss his infectious, loud laugh and playfulness. There was never a dull moment when he was around. He had an amazing ability to make a person feel special. Valter adored his family. His wife and children were his life. He loved them deeply and constantly showed his affection and love. He especially enjoyed his daily ritual of playing soccer or football with his son, Dominik. His daughter Daniela was his princess. He was a devoted and loyal son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend and would do anything for anyone in need. He was a hard worker at home and in his workplace and he put his heart and soul into every task he took on. From a young age, Valter had a passion for watching and playing sports. He was a talented athlete playing hockey, soccer, baseball, tennis, and golf. He especially excelled in ice hockey playing for the Hastings Minor Hockey League throughout his childhood. The BC Lions lost one of their biggest fans. The public viewing will take place on Thursday, March 13 from 4 to 6 pm at Bell and Burnaby Funeral Chapel 4276 Hastings Street, Burnaby, B.C.
