Shiu Hung was born in 1935 in Hong Kong, where he grew up, studied diligently in school and eventually joined the Hong Kong Government for his chosen career. During this time, he met Clara, his true love, and they were married for forty-five years. He always took good care of his family and eventually made the decision to move to Canada in 1994, after he retired.
He had many hobbies including stamp collecting, photography, singing and cooking but his special talent lay in the fine art of Chinese painting. Some of his greatest works were even displayed in galleries for the public to see! In Shiu Hung's eyes, as for the Canadian outdoors, nothing could beat a good game of lawn bowling.
Surrounded by his loving family, Shiu Hung passed away peacefully at Richmond Hospital on May 19th, 2012. He will be remembered by all who knew him, for his generosity, his sense of humour, and his kind heart. He will be so dearly missed by his wife Clara and his only son, Alvin.
