Oct 21, 1936 - Dec. 27 2022
On the afternoon of December 27th, our loving mother and beloved wife left this world to be with her Lord in heaven. Predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Anne Price, her sisters Laverne, Yvonne and Charlotte, brothers Thomas and Norman, and in-laws Nicola and Giuseppina Cardarelli.
Mom was born in New Westminster, one of 6 children. After settling in Vancouver, she met the love of her life, Michele, and were married in 1960.
Soon after, they welcomed the arrival of their first daughter Sandra followed by their second daughter, Lisa and completing the family with their son Nicolino.
Pat adapted well to her new Italian lifestyle. Quickly picking up the Italian language from her father in law Nicolino, and learning authentic Italian cooking from her mother in law Giuseppina. Mom was always a helpful and giving person, and helped many of the Italian immigrants, to start their new lives in Vancouver. Mom had many jobs, but her favorites were, working behind the counter, first at Eaton's department store at Pacific Centre, and finishing her career at the Bay, Lougheed Mall.
When she retired from the Bay, she took on a role as a volunteer for Seniors Advocacy in Burnaby. She dedicated the majority of her time at Confederation Seniors Centre, and also sat on many volunteer boards related to the welfare of Senior Citizens, that provide support to seniors in Burnaby and surrounding areas.
Upon her arrival at Carlton Gardens Assisted Living she once again, with her wit, gift of gab, happy and supporting personality made friends with Staff and Residents in no time and settled in to her spot at the Nurses station to greet and chat with everyone who passed by. In her final days, the care and compassion mom received from the staff at Carlton was an absolute blessing. A tremendous thank you goes out to Randi and all the staff. You made mom's stay at Carlton as comfortable and painless as could be. Always the devout Catholic, mom was ready to go be with God in heaven, and to be reunited with many friends and family members.
She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Michele, her daughters Sandra (Giancarlo) Lisa (Frank) and her son Nick, she will also be deeply missed by her two grandsons, Alessio and Mitchell.
A visitation will take place on Tuesday January 3, 2023 from 6:00pm until 7:00pm at Bell & Burnaby Funeral Chapel.
Mass of Christian burial will take place at Holy Cross Parish 1450 Delta ave., Burnaby,on Wednesday January 4, at 11:00am, followed by entombment at Ocean View. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in moms name to the Burnaby Seniors Outreach Services Society, or any charity of your choice in her name.
