The family of Molly Weinberger (nee Heilesen) with sadness announce the passing of their beloved mother and grandmother at the George Derby Centre, Burnaby. Molly was born in Tornby, Denmark. She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Anton (Tony) Weinberger, her son Rudy and daughter Zita. Molly is survived by her loving partner, Bill Grainge. Also, by her loving and cherished children, Anita (Frank) Anderson, Tina Radelet, Tony (Marina) Weinberger, and Elizabeth (Erik) Van Dyk; and grandchildren, Trevor & Chris Radelet, Brittany (Taavi) & Richard Weinberger, Aaron & Christian Weisbrod and Jessica, Kenzie & Tyler Van Dyk. Molly met the love of her life, Anton in 1942 in Ribnitz, North Germany on the Baltic Sea. After WWII, in 1951, Molly and Anton immigrated to Canada and settled in Vancouver. Mom was a competitive dancer (Waltz & Fox trot) winning many national Danish medals. She loved her garden and could often be found tending to her roses. All who knew her, loved her. A Funeral Service will be held for her at Forest Lawn Funeral Home Friday August 11, 2017 at 2 pm.
