Mary Soon

SOON, Mary December 31, 1920 - September 8, 2010 It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Mary Soon. Mary was born in Vancouver where she raised her family, and later resided in Burnaby and Surrey. She passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness at the age of 89, with her family at her side. She is predeceased by her husband Henry, and son Melvyn. She will be lovingly remembered and missed by her daughter Maureen (John), sons Gary (Gail) and Gerald (Ann), daughterin-law Carroll, grandchildren Charisse (Glen), Regan, Robert (Kathy), Galen (Marie), Jadene (Michael), Karen Ann, Laura Jeanne (Andrew), Grayson, Chris (Sarah), great-grandchildren Candace, Clark, Teaque, Rayne, and Mia, brother David (Miki), and sister Jennie, as well as many brothers-in-law and sisters-in law, nieces, nephews and friends. Her family would like to acknowledge and thank the nursing staff of Carelife Fleetwood, and friends at Bethshan Gardens for their support and companionship. In lieu of flowers if desired, donations to the Alzheimer Society of B.C. No. 300-828 West 8th Avenue, Vancouver, B.C., V5Z 1E2 may be made in memory of Mary Soon. A service will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, September 23, 2010 at the chapel, Ocean View Funeral Home, 4000 Imperial Street, Burnaby, BC.
