It is with heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Sandra Dominelli; a doting mother, wife, Nonna, and sister. Sandra had beauty and warmth which radiated from the inside out and was always there to help family and others when needed.
Survived by her dedicated husband of 60 years, Salvatore, loving sons Biaggino (Maureen) and Michele and her daughter Rosanna (Clinton). Granddaughters Deanna (Tyler) and Celina (Sebastian) and her four Great Grandchildren, Preston, Harper, Barrett and Emilie as well as her sister Ivy (Blair) and Vicky (Ron). Sandra’s many nieces and nephews will sorely miss their aunt’s sweet, caring giving personality. Sandra is predeceased by her son Joseph, brother John (Karen) and her parents Marjorie and John Woytko. The loss of Sandra leaves a terrible void in our family and in our hearts. She always had comforting, or funny words to share when you needed it. She will be remembered for her love and dedication to her husband, children, grandchildren as well as her relenting devotion to all her extended family and of course her favorite hockey team, the Canucks or as she would say “The Knuckleheads.”
Sandra stood tall in the face of adversity, including when she was diagnosed with Dementia. She pushed on with life the best she could including with her recent Cancer diagnosis in June. Sandra was strong, ready and willing to fight, unfortunately the Cancer was very aggressive and advanced quickly, taking her from us well before we anticipated. We will miss you immensely until we are reunited with you again Sandra!
The family would like to thank Sandra’s many caregivers Grace, Francine as well as Pauline and Susan from Aging My Way Homecare and all the staff at the Hawthorne Adult Day Program. A special thanks to Dr. Linda Ducholke and Nurse Gaye for going above and beyond with Sandra’s care.
Prayer Services will be on Thursday November 9, 2023, at 7 pm and her Funeral service will be on Friday November 10, 2023, at 11 am. Both services will be held at St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church 2888 Delahaye Drive, Coquitlam.
