Margaret Bell

Born in Denzil, Saskatchewan July 21, 1930, our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and special friend passed away peacefully with family at her side at Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster on April 23, 2017. Predeceased by her loving husband, Gilbert John and survived by her children and sister Maggie Price.

At the age of 4, her family moved to Kelowna, BC. Mom loved her years in school and loved learning. Her education continued when she left Kelowna for Vancouver in 1949 to attend St. Paul’s nursing school where she graduated in 1952. Along the way mom met her knight in shining armor, our dad. They married in 1953 and had seven children Cameron (Nancy), Sheldon (Trace), Merrill (John), Gillian, Charlene (Rick), Margie (Mitch), Gordon (Sandie), 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren with 3 more on the way.

Mom so loved her family and was happiest when surrounded by them. She had a special fondness for the “Leibly Street families” and more recently her friends from the Royal City Centre coffee group and the Woodward; all made for many happy times and precious memories. Mom to us, Marg to her friends, will be dearly missed. At mom’s request, a private family service will be held at a later date.
