Lap Chin Lee, age 71, of Burnaby, British Columbia passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2020. Lap Chin was born in Swatow, China on December 11, 1948. Oldest son of 6 children in the family, he is survived by his mother as well as his 5 siblings. Immigrating to Canada in the 1970’s, he soon married Mary Ma in Vancouver in 1979.
Lap Chin was an electrician by trade, and he later adopted a new career as a movie projectionist. Outside of his trade, he enjoyed fishing, singing, travelling, and always amazed others with his creative mechanical skills. Lap Chin was a devoted Christian and an active member of the church, participating in various volunteer activities. He demonstrated tremendous amounts of positivity, resilience, and strength throughout his courageous battle with his illness.
He was known for being an exceptional and charming conversationalist with a sense of humour to accompany it. He was a caring and responsible husband to Mary; a kind father to his two sons, Alex and Dennis; a loving grandfather to Kaeleb, Braeydn, Caspian, and Ariel; and a generous brother to all of his siblings.
