Jean “Jenny” was born in Two Hills, Alberta. After completing college in Edmonton, she moved to Vancouver in 1956, where she worked a full career in the insurance industry. After retiring, she enjoyed 30 years at her Carleton Terraces Condominium in Burnaby, BC. Jean was a social butterfly and quickly got to know her neighbours and businesses in the community. Then she became ill, and after spending several weeks in hospital, she moved to the George Derby Centre in Burnaby.
Jean is survived by her brother Orest Luciak (of Leduc, Alberta) and sister Marion Myroniuk (of Sherwood Park, Alberta). Jean is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, Godchildren, extended family and friends.
Jean enjoyed travelling, the beauty of nature, and was fascinated by the architecture of buildings. She had a great love of children and dogs. Jean enjoyed chatting with her family and friends. She had a great sense of humour. Jean leaves behind a trail of fond memories.
Thank you to her doctor Dr. E. Hardin, and her family doctors Dr. S. Sunshine and Dr. M. Look for their dedicated care over the years. The family would also like to thank the staff at the George Derby Centre who took great care of her over the past seven months.
A Celebration of Life will be held this spring - summer, where Jean’s life will be reminisced.
Rest easy, Jean. You are dearly loved and will be forever missed. May your memory be eternal.
