Ilija passed away peacefully on January 27, 2024 at the age of 81. He was predeceased by his grandson Mikey and daughter Ljuba. Ilija is survived by his loving family; wife Anica; children, Vinka, Angela, Ante (Stefanie); grandchildren Melyssa, Riley, Miranda, Marco, Luca, Eli, Mason, Roman, Deon and Wynn. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am Thursday, February 8, 2024 at Immaculate Heart of Mary, 3105 E. 1st Avenue, Vancouver. Entombment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park - Creekside Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the BC Children's Hospital.
