Franco Conte

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our loving husband, father, Nonno, brother, uncle, nephew and friend passed away on September 27, 2024 in North Vancouver, at the age of 81 years. Franco is survived by his loving wife Elena, his children Patrizia (John), Roberto (Naghmeh), his grandsons Daniel, Luca, Adrian, Matteo, siblings Elsa, Rita, Silvio (Loreta), Gabriela (Bruno), his uncle Giovanni (Maria) and many other family and friends.

Franco was a proud and devoted grandfather whose world revolved around his four grandkids. He loved to tend to his vegetable garden and flowers and tinker in his garage building or fixing things. He was always ready with a joke or a story and had an ability for making people smile, his generosity and passion for being around family and friends truly defined him as a person. We would like to thank all the care providers at Lions Gate Palliative on Floor 7. You are all the truest of heros and our family is forever thankful.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at St. Francis Assisi Parish, 2025 Napier Street, Vancouver, BC, and Entombment will follow at Ocean View Burial Park, South Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers donations in Franco's memory can be made to the BC Cancer Foundation.
