Ted passed away peacefully after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Ted is survived by Mildred, his loving wife of 58 years, three children Patricia Sharpe (Ross), Brian (Diane) and Brenda Pirie (Kim), eight grandchildren, one great grandson and his sister Barbara Lowndes. He was predeceased by son-in-law Terry Sharpe. Ted grew up in Spears Saskatchewan and Vernon BC. In 1946 he joined the Canadian Bank of Commerce. Ted enjoyed working in several BC branches before retiring from the CIBC in 1989. Since 1959 Ted lived in Burnaby. He was an active and honorary member of both St John the Divine Anglican Church and the John Howard Society. Ted enjoyed curling, camping and spending time with extended family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am Monday June 20th at St. Thomas Anglican Church, 2444 East 41st Ave, Vancouver. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of BC or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
