He is survived by his daughter Sandra, her husband Jimmy, and their 7 children (Emma, Isaac, Josiah, Keziah, Jesse, Luke, and Summer) and his son Chris and his wife, Liza. He is also survived by his nephew Scott and his wife Lesley, and their children (Cameron and Reilly), and his niece Wendy, and her children (Emily and Scott).

Len was born in Toronto and lived in Halifax, Ottawa, and finally in Vancouver where his dad became Chief of Police. He graduated from Magee High School in 1951. He married Ruth in 1957 and graduated from UBC Med School in 1959. Len was a member of the RCAF from 1958 to 1965, posted to France 1960-65 - then honourably released. He became an anesthesiologist and worked for Burnaby General Hospital from 1966 to 1998. Len was Chief of Staff in 78-79 and Head of Department 91-92.

After Burnaby General, Len worked for 5 years at Metrotown Surgical Centre. Len enjoyed singing - he formed the Burnaby Hospital Choir. He later sang with his friend Richard at numerous care homes. Len and Ruth volunteered bringing their 2 Shiatsus to hospitals and care homes, bringing joy and comfort to many patients. He loved travelling the world with Ruth, tasting fine wines, and watching musical theatre.

Len will be fondly missed by his colleagues, family and friends for his kindness and sense of humour.
