Mr. David S. Woo

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David S. Woo. On Sunday, November 24, 2024, David passed away peacefully at the age of 78 at Peach Arch Hospital in White Rock, BC.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Ming, daughters Jacqualine, Karen (Joe), and his sister Joan (Bill). David is affectionately remembered by his sister-in-law, nieces and nephews, and countless dear friends from near and far.

David was born in Liverpool, England on October 16,1946. David’s most treasured years in Liverpool began when he met Ming in 1966. Their love and devotion for one another led them to make the life-changing decision to move to Canada. They were married in 1968 and started their family in Vancouver, BC. David’s career as a baker spanned 36 years and he gained many lifelong friendships. He will be remembered by his warm nature and one-of-a-kind sense of British humour. David was a genuine caring soul, with a kind heart who left a lasting impression on those he met.

In 2006, David survived a near-fatal accident and spent many months at Royal Columbian Hospital. His determination to fight through this gruelling recovery was a testament to David’s tenacity and love for his family and friends. It was nothing short of a miracle.

David was blessed to live 18 more wonderful years creating beautiful memories with those he loved. He is at peace now in Heaven and will be sadly missed by everyone who was fortunate enough to know him.
