December 18, 1951 – March 17, 2019
Dallas died peacefully at the George Derby Centre in Burnaby after a brief illness, with her sister Nadine at her side. She was predeceased by her Dad, Bill, and her Mom, Ann. Dallas was dedicated to caring for her Mom until her passing last Spring.
Missing her is her devoted sister Nadine and her husband Barry St. Germaine. Dallas had an especially close and loving relationship with her niece Tannis (Perry Pistilli) and her nephew Ryan, both of whom she was fiercely proud. She adored and cherished her great nephews Colby, Matthew and Evan. She will be dearly missed by all of her immediate and extended family, which includes her Uncle Jim, Aunt Ann, their children Jimmy (Eileen), Nadine (Quinn) and their families.
Dallas was a long-time employee of the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia. She joined the company at its inception in the early ‘70s and retired after four decades of faithful service a few years ago. While at ICBC, Dallas cultivated countless close and lasting friendships with her fellow employees.
Dallas loved shopping. She never met a shoe she didn’t like. She also loved Las Vegas and travelled there whenever possible. She lived her life on her terms and enjoyed whatever adventures came her way. She had a mischievious and sometimes devious sense of humour that she shared often with her family and friends.
Dallas’ family is grateful to all of those who visited her faithfully at Burnaby Hospital and George Derby Centre over the past three months. They are also thankful for the compassionate and professional care Dallas received from the health care providers at these facilities.
Dallas will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Burnaby. A private family service will be held. Flowers are gratefully declined. If you wish, a donation in her memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
The family invites Dallas’ friends to raise a glass of Coke in her honour and to visit www.dignitymemorial.com/obituaries to share your memories of her and leave a message of condolence.
