Antonia Maria Sain

In the early afternoon of June 29, 2021, while medical staff laboured to save her life, Antonia left this earth and entered her heavenly home to be reunited with her husband Gino, parents Antonio and Anna Palcich, brother Umberto Palcich, son-in-law Glenn (Smith) and all her deceased loved ones. She leaves to mourn her daughter Leda (Smith), son Ed, daughter-in-law Pilar, granddaughters Fara (Curry) and Maria Christina (Sain) and great-granddaughter Ashlyn (Curry)/ In Italy are her brothers, Claudio and Luigi, sisters Rosalia, Elda, Iolanda, Alice and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and many nephews, nieces, and cousins both here and in Italy.

Antonia was born on September 4, 1929 in Istria, Italy. She married Gino in 1949 from whom she was inseparable for their entire life together. She will be remembered for her boundless love of family, her fierce loyalty to her friends, her faith, her kindness and generosity, her cooking and wonderful sense of humor.

Funeral services will be held at Noon, Thursday, June 22, 2021 at St. Francis de Sales Church located at 6610 Balmoral Street, Burnaby, B.C. The entombment services will be carried out at 1:30 p.m. at the Ocean View Cemetery located at 4000 Imperial Street, Burnaby followed by a reception.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Parkinsons Society or a charity of your choice.
