of a beloved husband, father and grandfather.
With his loving family by his side, Anthony Sau-Chan Wong slipped peacefully from this world on May 31, 2021 at the age of 83.
Anthony was born in Chiu Chow, China on September 12, 1937. His family later moved to Hong Kong, where he graduated as an electrical engineer from HK University. In 1966, he married Teresa Fung-Ping Fong and they were blessed with two daughters, Joanna (Harry) and Grace (Richard), and four grandsons, Brendan and Gavin Chan, and Benjamin and Joshua Stratford. The Wong family immigrated in the Seventies to Vancouver, where Anthony pursued several careers, including bookkeeping, and owning a photo lab and a restaurant.
In 2008, Anthony suffered a massive stroke which forced him to move into the extended care unit at Mount St. Joseph’s Hospital. Special thanks to the many staff for their unending care and support of both our Dad and Mom during his time there.
Anthony will be remembered for his hardworking nature, passion for trying new foods and keeping up with current affairs. He could always be relied upon for good financial advice and was fiercely devoted to his family. His love for Teresa, her daily visits and family gatherings were what motivated him to live out the last l2 years of his life.
He will be greatly missed.
