Angus was born and raised in Vancouver. He attended St. Andrew’s Catholic Elementary and moved on to attend Vancouver College High School as well as John Oliver Secondary. He grew up playing soccer and little league baseball at Hillcrest and played high school football for the JO Jokers and then he moved on to skiing and golf in his later years.
Growing up he had various motorbikes and cars and then moved on to his love for boating. He had a passion for being in nature, whether it be fishing, hunting, and camping. He spent many summers working with his extended family on their working fishing boats travelling up north to Queen Charlottes & Prince Rupert. He was a diligent worker and very mechanically adept. He worked at Bel Par Industries, Zodiac Hurricane, and various companies in the construction industry.
Angus made friends easily, and he had a kind and generous heart. With his big mischievous smile and rosy cheeks, he approached life with a zest for adventure. He had a quick wit, infectious laugh and his sideways grin guaranteed that everyone that met him, loved him.
He loved all sports-- especially hockey and football. He was a huge fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and was overjoyed watching his team win Superbowl 2023.
Predeceased by his father John in 2004 he is survived by his loving mother Geraldine; brothers, Bill, Alex (Jen); his devoted sister, Teresa; nieces; Brooklyn, Rebecca and many uncles and cousins from the huge MacDonald clan that Angus was so proud to be a part of.
Cherish every moment and hold your loved ones close as you never know what tomorrow brings. His loss was sudden and immeasurable, and many hearts are broken that they were not able to say goodbye.
Arrangements for a gathering in his honor will be announced at a later date.
