André Lim, age 73, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2023 at Burnaby Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Yani; children, Kat Tara and Daryl (wife, Retty); grandchildren, Darylynn and Jedidiah; his four siblings, and his fifteen nieces and nephews.
André was born in Indonesia and immigrated to Canada during his teenage years, along with his mother and six siblings. He was a graphic designer, artist, photographer, and the architectural draftsman for BC Place, built between 1981 and 1983. He also worked on various projects, such as in the planning, design, and implementation of water parks, here and around the globe. André enjoyed travelling as he worked independently as a business consultant. He had a penchant for details—the little things that added the finishing touch to every experience.
He will always be remembered for his sense of humor, strong morals, and dedication to his work. He will also be remembered as a steadfast seeker of the Lord, eager to share his faith in Jesus Christ with family, friends, and everyone willing to listen to his testimony. André will be greatly missed.
A viewing for his family and close friends will be held on Wednesday, September 6 from 7:30pm to 9:30pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, located at 3789 Royal Oak Ave., Burnaby.
A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, September 16, at 11:00am (doors open 10:30am) at New Westminster Christian Reformed Church, located at 8255 13th Ave., Burnaby. RSVP here (for refreshment purposes): https://forms.gle/KJ8HW7QTNRXKYiaH7
