David was definitely an intellectual friend, we shared a love of books/specific authors, and music.  David was always up for fun, he liked to laugh and I often coaxed him into laughter.  Missing you, David.

Forever in my head, “Cut to the chase!” and “Cierre la puerta!” There are a million memories that will stick with me for the rest of my life. 

My uncle David was more than an uncle, he was a father figure. He thought me so many things in life. He thought me how to operate a lawn mower, he showed me how to properly handle guns. He took me camping. But above all he showed me how to be a man, how to take responsibility, hot to work hard for your family. Thank you Uncle David for everything you did for me. 

I was a young man when I first met David and had the opportunity to work with him. Some of the best times of my life were hanging out with David and Kathy. 
I learned a lot from him, but one of the things I learned was to keep going, push through, finish the job. I still hear him when things get tough. Thanks Bwana, thanks for the life lessons 

David I haven't known you for long but we became great "Friends".
We had good times and lots of laughs not to mention wonderful trips like this one. You will be missed by all who knew you.

When life was tough, Mom and Dad surviving strokes, Emily and I fighting cancer, you were such a rock of support, thank you! Please give the family up in heaven  a hug! Love you David

Uncle David was silently one of the strongest men in our family. You taught us to work hard and be responsible. However we needed help you were always there. You didn’t always show your emotions but we know you loved us. I will miss you so much.
