Edna C. Polzer, 95, of Bryan passed away Sunday morning March 4, 2012 at Lampstand Health and Rehab of Bryan. Visitation will be from 5 P.M. to 8 P.m. Tuesday March 6, 2012 at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan, with a Rosary being recited at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday March 7, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bryan, with Reverend Monsignor John McCaffrey of- ficiating. Interment will follow at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery in Weimer, Texas.
Edna was born June 10, 1916 to Albina Bartosh and John Dobecka in Weimer, Texas. She attended school in Weimer. She
moved to Houston and worked in the Production Department at Pittsburg Paint and Glass in Houston for over 20 years. She married Lawrence Polzer on June 6, 1970. In 1989, she and Lawrence moved to Bryan, and joined St. Joseph Catholic
Church. She was a member of the Age Manager's Group at St. Joseph Catholic Church, the K.J.Z.T., and the American Legion Women's Auxiliary of the American Legion Earl Graham Post No. 159 in Bryan.
Edna was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Victor Dobecka, and Henry and Ester Dobecka. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Lawrence T. Polzer of Bryan; one daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca Lynn and Armand Casarez of Missouri City, Texas; two sisters, Lillian Scotka of Bellville and Olga Heinrich of Pearland; one sister-in-law, Bernice Dobecka of Weimer; and four brothers-in-law, Bernard Polzer and wife Florence, Wilford Polzer and wife Frances, Eugene Polzer and wife Rosalee, and Stephen Polzer.
