Albert Stanley Prazak, 97, of Bryan, went to be with his lord on Monday afternoon, February 18, 2013 at Crestview in Bryan. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, February 22, 2013 beginning at 1 P.M. at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. Funeral Services will be at 2 P.M. at the funeral home with Chaplain Gary Adams of Crestview and Reverend Rick Sitton of First United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Rest-Ever Memorial Park Cemetery in Bryan.
Stanley was born May 6, 1915 to Marie Jakubik and Rudolph Prazak in Caldwell, Texas. He was a graduate of Caldwell High School. On November 8, 1941, Stanley married Elizabeth Dickerson of Lexington, Texas. On January 3, 1942 he entered the United States Army Air Force. He served in the European Theatre during World War II, as a Maintenance Technician in the 49th Fighter Squadron for 3½ years, obtaining the Rank of Tech Sergeant. He soon returned home and he and his family moved to Bryan in June of 1945. He spent the next 45 years working at Cade Ford and Beal Ford in Bryan as Service Manager.
He was a member of the VFW Post 4692 and the American Legion Earl Graham Post 159, both in Bryan. He was also a long time member of First United Methodist Church in Bryan.
Stanley was preceded death by his parents; one brother, Raymond Prazak; and three sisters, Rinalda Weichert, Polly Kearns, and Elsie Etlinger.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Elizabeth Prazak of Bryan; one daughter Cherry and her husband Joe Burt of Bryan; grandchildren and spouses, Melissa and Mario Martinez, Stan and Tracey McDonald, Kellie and Terry Boriskie, all of Bryan, and Deke and Caliste Burt of Boerne; and great-grandchildren, Matthew and Myles Martinez, Tylie McDonald, Blakely and Taylor Boriskie, and Kaylea, Austin, and Kendall Burt.

The family would like to acknowledge the wonderful people who cared for him, the staff at Crestview and Hospice Brazos Valley.
