Ureta Lane Drury Miller, 91 of Brunswick, Georgia entered peacefully into her Heavenly Home on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at her residence. Ureta was born in Browntown, Georgia the daughter of the late George W. Lane and Delora Arnett Lane Epperson. She was also preceded in death by the father of her children, Luther Drury; and her husband, Norman Miller; great granddaughter, Kacey Hanen, 4 brothers’ and 6 sisters’.
Ureta was a member of Sterling Church of God. She retired as self-employed painter, but then was a childcare provider for many years. She faithfully attended church every Sunday before her health declined. Ureta enjoyed watching the Braves and sitting on her front porch feeding the birds. When she was able to, she loved to go out in the boat fishing. Her favorite past time was spending time with her family. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Scott Clay & Staff, Nancy Hurlock with Beyond Health Group, Rayven Whipple and Sandra Drawdy with Georgia Nurse Care, Karen LaLone, Edna Stock and Kim Crawford.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Glenda Drury Rozier, Cecelia Drury Morales, Donna Drury Simpson (John), and Karen Drury Gatch (Roger); ten grandchildren, Vicky Lee, Amy Taylor (Brad), Laurie Rozier, Jamey Howell (Stacy), Amanda Howell Duncan, Terrie Morgan (Chevis), Tiffany Vars (James Couturier), Randy Watson, Dustin Gatch (Stacey), and Ashley Langford (Zach); one sister, Janell O’Neal; twenty great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
The visitation will begin at 1:30 PM Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Sterling Church of God, (6670 New Jesup Hwy, Brunswick, GA). The funeral service will be held at 2:30 PM following the visitation with Pastor Larry Daughtry officiating. The burial will follow the service in Horsestamp Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Randy Watson, Dustin Gatch, Dominic Watson, Brian Duncan, Nicholas Duncan, AJ Vars, Aaron Greene, and Zachary Langford. Honorary Pallbearers Jamey Howell, Dylan Vars, Hunter Taylor and Luke Trefethen.
