Born December 22, 1942 in Savannah, Georgia to the late Thomas Abraham Younce Jr. and Deniese B. Younce, he was a graduate of Wayne County High School Class of 1962 and attended South Georgia College in Douglas. He also served in the 224 Air National Guard as a Sergeant. He was employed at Younce Terminix for 48 years, where he retired as a co-owner. Mr. Younce was a member of St. Simons Jaycees, St. Simons Lions Club, St. Simons Boating and Fishing Club, charter member of Home Builders of The Golden Isles, Golden Isles Gun Club, Crisco Hunting Club, Golden Isles Hunting Club, Pine Lake Hunt Club, and Georgia Pest Control Association. Mr. Younce enjoyed hunting, fishing and mowing his yard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife of 50 years, Candy Younce, and a brother Stephen Younce.
Survivors include his wife of 8 years, Charlene Younce, two children, Lynn Rhymes and husband Tony, and Brian Younce and wife Laura, a step son, Alan Harper all of Brunswick, four grandchildren Cody Rhymes and wife Taylor, Bryce Younce, Zachary Younce, and Parker Younce, one great grandson, Silas Rhymes, a brother Wiley Younce and wife Mary of St. Simons Island and several nieces and nephews.
