Born August 3, 1960 in Brunswick, Georgia to Charles Lindy and Thomasina Butler Stewart, he was a graduate of Glynn Academy Class of 1978 and was a lifelong resident of Glynn County. He was a residential carpenter and a member of First Baptist Church of St. Simons Island. Mr. Stewart enjoyed woodworking, fishing, the beach and UGA Football. He was preceded in death by his father Charles Lindy Stewart, a brother, Bill Stewart, and a sister, Suzanne Stewart.
Survivors include his son, Caleb B. Stewart, his mother, Thomasina B. Stewart both of St. Simons Island, and a brother Lindy Stewart of Orange City, FL.
